Remote Desktop Protocol(RDP)

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a secure method by which CUE users are able to connect to a server on campus while doing remote work.

To be able to use and connect using RDP, please follow the steps outlined below:

While off campus, you will need to login to your CUE laptop using the same method as if you were on campus.

Once logged in, make sure to enable your VPN software (Wireguard)

Open

From your laptop’s search box, type in Remote Desktop Connection

Open

Click on the Remote Desktop Connection app.

Open

In the Computer box area, type in the assigned computer name that was provided to you.

Type in your username and password in the appropriate boxes.

(Optional) If you want to save the connection settings, click on Save.

Click on Connect.
